A Welcome From the Founder
Thank you for visiting.
I created StayBC with a simple idea: to make travelling through British Columbia a little easier, a little more personal, and a lot more memorable.
Working in the tourism industry here in British Columbia, I've had the opportunity to meet travellers from all over Canada and around the world. One thing I've learned is that finding a room is only one small part of a great trip.
Visitors want to know: Where should we eat? What should we see? Are there any waterfalls nearby? Where do the locals go? What shouldn't we miss while we're here?
Those questions helped inspire StayBC.
My goal is to connect travellers with independent motels and accommodations throughout British Columbia while also helping them discover the restaurants, attractions, activities, hidden gems, and local businesses that make each BC community special.
I also wanted to create something that supports the people behind those businesses. Independent motel owners, restaurant owners, shopkeepers, guides, and other small businesses are an important part of the character of our communities. StayBC is about helping visitors discover them.
Whether you're travelling across the province, planning a weekend getaway, visiting family, or exploring British Columbia for the first time, I hope StayBC becomes a trusted companion along the way.
