Harrison Hot Springs
BC's hot springs resort town — where the mountains meet the lake.
Harrison Hot Springs is one of BC's most beloved resort destinations, a small town on the shores of Harrison Lake where natural geothermal hot springs have been drawing visitors for well over a century. The Harrison Hot Springs Resort, a grand lakeside hotel that has operated since 1926, remains the centrepiece of the community and one of the most iconic resort properties in BC. Harrison Lake itself is enormous — stretching 60 kilometres north into the mountains, it is one of the largest lakes in the Lower Mainland region and offers spectacular scenery, boating, and fishing. The lake is warm enough for swimming in summer, and the sandy beach at the south end of town is one of the finest freshwater beaches in BC, drawing families from across the Lower Mainland throughout the summer months. The World Championship Sand Sculpture Competition, held every September, transforms the Harrison beach into an outdoor gallery of extraordinary sand art and draws visitors from across the province. The town's hot springs pools are open year-round, offering a relaxing soak in mineral-rich waters against a backdrop of mountains and lake. Harrison is also a popular base for exploring the Fraser Valley, with Agassiz, Chilliwack, and the Fraser Canyon all within easy reach.

Sloquet Hot Springs
A series of natural hot spring pools tucked into a forested canyon above the Sloquet Creek — completely undeveloped, free to visit, and reached only by a rough 4x4 road and a short hike. The pools range in temperature from scalding at the source to perfectly warm lower down, and the surrounding old-growth forest and creek canyon make the setting feel genuinely wild. One of the last truly undeveloped hot springs accessible from the Lower Mainland.
Tip: A high-clearance 4x4 vehicle is essential — the access road is rough and often muddy. The springs are on Crown land and there are no facilities whatsoever; pack out everything you bring in.
