Whistler

The world's premier mountain resort — where the Sea to Sky meets the sky.

Whistler is the most celebrated mountain resort in North America and one of the finest ski destinations in the world. Sitting 120 kilometres north of Vancouver on the spectacular Sea to Sky Highway, Whistler Blackcomb offers over 8,100 acres of skiable terrain across two mountains, connected by the PEAK 2 PEAK Gondola — the longest and highest unsupported lift span in the world. The resort hosted the alpine skiing and sliding events of the 2010 Winter Olympics, and the legacy of those Games is visible throughout the village and the surrounding mountains. Whistler Village is a pedestrian-only mountain village of extraordinary quality — world-class restaurants, boutique shops, and a vibrant après-ski culture that makes it one of the finest resort villages anywhere. In summer, Whistler transforms into a mountain biking and hiking destination of the first order. The Whistler Mountain Bike Park is widely regarded as the finest lift-accessed bike park in the world, with trails for every ability level. The Valley Trail system connects the village to the surrounding lakes and forests, and Nairn Falls and Brandywine Falls are spectacular natural attractions within easy reach of the village.

Fairmont Chateau Whistler Golf Club

18 holes holes · Par Par 72

Carved into the base of Blackcomb Mountain, this is one of Canada's most celebrated mountain golf experiences. Robert Trent Jones Jr. designed a course that works with the natural terrain — creeks, elevation changes, and towering firs frame every hole. The views of Whistler and Blackcomb are extraordinary from the upper fairways.

Whistler Golf Club

18 holes holes · Par Par 72

The Whistler Golf Club is the original Whistler course, designed by Arnold Palmer and set in the valley floor with views of Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains. The course winds through wetlands and forest with the Fitzsimmons Creek running through the property. It's a more accessible and affordable option than the Fairmont course, with the same spectacular mountain setting and Whistler Village just steps away.

Brandywine Meadows
Alpine meadow

Brandywine Meadows

A high alpine plateau carpeted in wildflowers from mid-July through August, with panoramic views of Garibaldi Provincial Park's volcanic peaks and the Black Tusk rising above the treeline. The 14 km return trail climbs steadily through old-growth forest before opening onto one of the most beautiful meadow landscapes in the province — yet it sees a fraction of the crowds that flock to nearby Garibaldi Lake.

Tip: The trailhead is off Callaghan Valley Road, about 15 minutes south of Whistler. Peak wildflower season is late July to mid-August. Bring bear spray — this is active bear country.
